Young Advisers Havering Project Coordinator (Ref YAH)

21 hours per week, working days to be agreed, must include Wednesday

£12,362 pa plus 5% pension contribution

Aged 12 – 25, with a range of disabilities, the Young Advisers act as peer researchers to find out what other disabled young people think about their lives, and help to make positive change in Havering by submitting this information and their recommendations to local decision-makers.

The Project Coordinator will support the group’s regular meetings, developing the Young Advisers' skills as peer researchers and facilitating their research in schools and clubs

The role requires liaising with Havering Council and other organisations to fulfil research briefs, as well as promoting good practice in terms of meaningfully listening to and respecting the views of young people.

It also requires developing the Young Advisers' soft skills, such as communication, teamwork and self-confidence.

Additional hours may be available working with our other young people's projects that we support.

Interviews will be held in the London Borough of Havering.

Trustees (Ref TR)

We are looking for trustees and a treasurer

as a trustee you will work with the board of trustees to make sure that:

  • Advocacy for All has a clear set of goals
  • the action is being taken to achieve those goals
  • Advocacy for All meets its legal and financial responsibilities

how much time will it take?

  • the Trustee Board meets 6 times a year from 6pm – 8pm
  • trustees are encouraged to serve on other committees e.g Finance, HR, Recruitment
  • trustees are in regular contact with the Chief Executive and other trustees by email
This position is voluntary but travel expenses will be reimbursed.
