All our one to one advocacy services are free, confidential and independent.

Types of Advocacy

An Advocate helps someone to talk about their needs and wishes. Advocates listen to people and help them to have their voices heard. Advocates represent people who need support to make sure that decisions are made in their best interests.All of our advocacy services are free, confidential and independent.

Self Advocacy Groups

Self-advocacy is about gaining confidence and speaking up for yourself. We support people to share experiences, make friends and speak up about important issues in their lives. We support various groups in South London and Kent.

Easy Read Translations

AfA have a core number of Easy Read specialists (all with a learning disability) with over 10 years’ experience. They translate and produce high quality easy read material that is accessible, and are commissioned by local authorities and businesses.

Spot Purchase Advocacy is advocacy work that is purchased on a case-by-case basis, and is notpart of our main commissioned contracts.This can include care act assessments/reviews, IMCA decisions, NHS Complaints, Children’s advocacy, parenting support advocacy, Rule 1.2, RPR advocacy and safeguarding process.
